Local Story: George Levi

George Levi is a Southern Cheyenne artist who uses his artwork to demonstrate passion for his Native American roots. Levi is well-versed in multiple types of Native art including beadwork, War Bonnets and rawhide; but he spoke with Arts District about his Ledger Art. Popular in the 19th century, the form utilized pages of the record books to depict then daily life: ceremonies, hunting and battle scenes.
