Remember to Wear a Sweater & Be Neighborly on March 20th. It is Fred Rogers' Birthday!

It's a beautiful day to wear a sweater and remember our good friend Mr. Rogers. Even though he is no longer with us, Mr. Rogers' legacy lives on and we celebrate his lasting impact. Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood was a wonderful place and it is fun to revisit it from time to time. There's no better time than his birthday -- in fact, March 20 is "Won't You Be My Neighbor Day."

There's no need to sing him happy birthday (unless you want to) -- instead you can Sing Together with this awesome remix.  Or this one!

Learn more about Fred Rogers here. You can even try one of his family recipes.

His characters live on as well -- on PBS Kids. If you didn't know, Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood stars the kids of Rogers’s original puppet characters, including Daniel Tiger. Through imagination, creativity and music, Daniel and his friends learn the key social skills necessary for school and for life.

"When I say it's you I like, I'm talking about that part of you that knows that life is far more than anything you can ever see or hear or touch. That deep part of you that allows you to stand for those things without which humankind cannot survive. Love that conquers hate, peace that rises triumphant over war, and justice that proves more powerful than greed.” ― Fred Rogers
