Health Care in Colorado
On this week's "Colorado State of Mind," host Cynthia Hessin and her guests takes a look at the current legislative session and discuss how health care issues are being addressed by our state's lawmakers.
The federal health care law requires states to set up health insurance exchanges, or the federal government will set up exchanges for them.
Some say if we wait for the federal law to kick in, we will wait longer to get an exchange that allows individuals and small businesses to pool together for lower health insurance rates, and we wouldn’t necessarily get anything better...or more affordable.
Others advocate for waiting for the federal law to kick in because Colorado will have to comply with it. And, of course, there is the minority calling for no health care reform at all.
What is the best course of action for Colorado? Weigh in. And watch "Colorado State of Mind," Friday, April 29 at 7:30pm.
