More than two million men and women serve in America’s all-volunteer military force, and another three million are their husbands, wives, sons and daughters. In Colorado alone, there are over 50,000 active military personnel and 413,000 veterans. Rocky Mountain PBS has partnered with local organizations to launch the Veteran & Service Initiative to raise awareness around stories of service in Colorado and beyond.
In the coming months, Rocky Mountain PBS will host screenings, air special programming, showcase stories and collect testimonials from community members to honor loved ones in the armed forces.
