The Women's College of the University of Denver is a proud Women and Girls Lead partner. An amazing organization, The Women's College blends a collaborative, engaging learning community with a challenging academic experience. The college also hosts Leadership Salons to provide a platform where women thought leaders guide conversation to address the great issues of the day, such as health care, the economy, education and politics.
Lynn Gangone, who moderates the sessions, is Dean of The Women's College of the University of Denver and an active member of the Women and Girls Lead Advisory Board.

What does it mean to be a woman in politics today? What does it mean to be a woman of color in politics today? Panelists will offer their own ideas for answers while encouraging Salon attendees to become more engaged in the political processes in their cities, states, and across the US as a whole.
The Women's College is proud to host the coordinator of the Laboratory to Combat Human Trafficking, Dr. AnnJanette Alejano-Steele, artist and founder of RedLine Laura Merage, artist Sarah Wallace Scott, and 2012 Women's College graduate Rebecca Handley in a panel discussion on the ways in which a modern-day democratic society allows for violence against women and girls.
The Women's College of the University of Denver welcomes Jennifer Siebel Newsom, writer, director, and producer of the 2011 Sundance documentary Miss Representation. Newsom will explore how the media's misrepresentations of women have led to the under-representation of women in positions of political power and influence. She has launched organizations that contribute to the empowerment of women and girls.
